1. Is registration for the symposium free?
Yes, registration for the Symposium is completely free for all participants, whether they are presenters or attendees. However, travel and accommodation costs are the responsibility of participants. Hotel recommendations and lodging options will be available on the « Visitor Info » page.
2. What language will the symposium be conducted in?
The symposium will be conducted entirely in English. All presentations, discussions, and materials will be in English to facilitate international exchange and collaboration. However, during informal networking sessions and breaks, participants are welcome to communicate in their preferred language.
3. Can I attend the Symposium without presenting a paper?
Absolutely! The Symposium is open to all professionals, researchers, students and people interested in UX, usability, localization, and technical communication, even if you are not presenting. It’s an excellent opportunity for learning, networking, and exchanging ideas with international experts in the field.
4. How do I register for the symposium?
You will receive a confirmation email shortly after. We recommend registering early as spots may be limited. The registration deadline will be announced on the homepage.
5. Where exactly will the symposium take place?
The symposium will be held on the campus of the University of Strasbourg (Unistra), Strasbourg, France. The exact building, room details, and a campus map will be available on the « Visitor Info » page closer to the event date.
6. How do I submit an abstract or proposal?
If you wish to present at the Symposium, please visit the « Call for Proposals » page for full submission guidelines, including formatting requirements, word count, and deadlines. All submissions must be made through the designated submission platform indicated on that page. Authors will be notified of the review outcome by email.
